Washington, D.C. – Connect Americans Now (CAN) executive director Richard T. Cullen released the following statement Monday on President Biden signing the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which includes $65 billion to support broadband deployment, adoption and skills training programs, into law.
“Connect Americans Now applauds President Biden for signing the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and for maintaining his administration’s commitment to this package that will provide a critical $65 billion down payment toward bridging the digital divide in America,” Cullen said. “Connect Americans Now thanks the President for his commitment to expanding broadband connectivity and improving digital equity and encourages the Administration and Congress to build on the positive momentum for action with additional, permanent solutions to completely eliminate the digital divide.”
